I just had the recent opportunity to play background mucic for an art opening in Dublin. It was a great show and a great opening. Both artists are in their mid-twenties and reflect a very nice picture of where art is headed in Ireland. Both artists sold a total of 10 pieces at the opening! So for all young artist, if you want to travel to a place with a good young art community, put Dublin on your list!

You might be interested in "Art School Confidential," originally published in Dan Clowes' EIGHTBALL #7, and reprinted -- I think -- in his paberback collection "Orgy Bound."

Hey Matt! You probably have already seen this one, but New Art Examiner has a very cynical, funny comic that runs in every issue.

HAVE A COW: The New York Foundation for the Arts has pulled out of administrating a major city-sponsored art project this summer to paint and display 1,000 fiberglass cows. The city had sought to have the foundation impose a rule on artists stating: "Designs that are religious, political or sexual in nature will not be accepted."
