We are pleased to announce the launch of HOME TRANSFER, a Web project selected by ISEA 2000. It will be shown during the Symposium in Paris, France from December 7th to 10th.

The project can be viewed at: http://www.hometransfer.org

HOME TRANSFER is an ongoing project that explores the intersection of home, architecture and new technologies. A dwelling made of bread and its parasitic invasion is used to investigate changing notions of place and presence. Host/Guest relations are established between artist, architects and people online.

The site features streaming video of architects discussing a cultural paradigm where technology affects aspects of domestic life in new ways. Visitors may share thoughts in two guest books provided for this purpose. The aim is to build a space for speculation where people can express their excitement and/or anxiety about this topic.

Videos and other elements are renewed regularly. Two archives record an evolving discourse.

HOME TRANSFER is a project by PAT BADANI
In conjunction with the following team of artists:
DMITRY STRAKOVSKY, Ozgun Ozguc, Carrie Mandel, Todd Margolis and Jeff Holmes.

..............................

Another opening at Deadtech (www.deadtech.net) on Nov. 10 (until Dec 1)
I'll be doing a sound piece for that one.
This show is a might-be-interesting but it should be fun to check out if you wanna :)

Trouble getting into the profile section?

To enter the profile section, I have found that a lot of times you need to enter your password twice.

Here's an example:
1. You go to a page that has a profile on it.
2. A box will pop up asking for your password and username
3. You enter the correct password and username
4. The same dam box will pop up again asking you for your
password and username. I don't know why this happens,
but it's something screwy on the server end.
5. Just enter your password and username again,
and you will be able to go into the profile section

Thank you for your patience.

And just in case anybody forgot their username and password. Just email: artiwu@spudart.org and I'll email you the diddys to get into the profiles.

AN EXPENSIVE CHANGE OF HEART: An Australian art collector puts up a painting
valued at $1 million for auction, but then has a change of mind and decides
to donate the work, by an important Aussie artist, to the National Gallery.
The change of heart may cost him though - he's still liable for Sotheby's
seller's commission, estimated to be as mush as $200,000.
